Nomad's Happy Hour: Negroni Sbagliato

Sbagliato means “messed up” or “mistaken” in Italian, and while the Negroni Sbagliato is said to be the result of a busy bartender using sparkling wine instead of gin in a Negroni, we think it turned out to be a pretty happy accident. This refreshing cocktail is a fun twist for the Negroni drinker looking for something a little lighter and is well-suited for a balmy afternoon.

  • 1 oz. Sweet Vermouth

  • 1 oz. Campari

  • 1 oz. Prosecco

  • Ice

  • Orange to garnish

Combine Vermouth and Campari in an ice filled tumbler. Top with Prosecco, stir gently until combined and garnish with orange.

Nomad’s Twist:

If you are after a drink with a bit more of a kick, substitute the prosecco for 2 oz. of good quality bourbon.
