Nomad's Happy Hour: Southside

Said to have originated in New York's prohibition era hot-spot, the twenty one club, a Southside cocktail is a gin's version of a mojito, although perhaps even more balanced.

  • 60mL Gin (we love Tanqueray No. 10)
  • 25mL Fresh Lime Juice
  • 20mL Simple Syrup
  • 4-5 Mint Leaves
  • Ice cubes

  1. Combine the gin, lime juice, simple syrup and mint sprig into a shaker. Add some ice cubes and shake vigorously.
  2. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a sprig of mint.

Nomad Tip - Feel like some bubbles? Follow the recipe above, strain into a highball glass and fill with soda water.
