Nomad's Happy Hour: Southside
Said to have originated in New York's prohibition era hot-spot, the twenty one club, a Southside cocktail is a gin's version of a mojito, although perhaps even more balanced.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- 60mL Gin (we love Tanqueray No. 10)
- 25mL Fresh Lime Juice
- 20mL Simple Syrup
- 4-5 Mint Leaves
- Ice cubes
- Combine the gin, lime juice, simple syrup and mint sprig into a shaker. Add some ice cubes and shake vigorously.
- Strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a sprig of mint.
Nomad Tip - Feel like some bubbles? Follow the recipe above, strain into a highball glass and fill with soda water.
