The search continues for NYC's top happy hour spots! This month, we're journeying to the Flatiron District, known for its namesake building, Madison Square Park, Italian food emporium Eataly, and of course, the original Shake Shack burger joint.
Unsurprisingly, the Flatiron District is also an excellent place to grab a cocktail after a long day exploring the city. With a number of excellent dining options in the area (ABC Kitchen, I'm talking about you), you'd be crazy not to spend some quality eating and drinking time in this trendy Manhattan neighbourhood. The Cellar at Beecher’s is still a working cheese cellar, with the added comfort of an atmospheric lounge and bar area where patrons can indulge in charcuterie, cheese plates, wine and cocktails, alongside a dinner menu of cheese-based entrees and mains.

If you're a big cocktail fan, the Barbounia Happy Hour is for you. Bespoke cocktails priced between $8 - $10 come alongside tapas boards almost too beautiful to eat. Named for the ubiquitous red mullet that swims the Mediterranean waters, Barbounia celebrates the region’s common heritage and bold cuisines through colourful dishes and a vibrant drinks list.
Happy Hour runs 7 days a week, 3 - 7pm with an offering of cocktails, beers, wines, oysters and a wide selection of cheese and charcuterie.
Situated in the trendy Ace Hotel, the John Dory Oyster Bar's selection of always-fresh seafood and reasonably priced drinks menu makes it the perfect place for a casual dinner and drinks meet up. The restaurant is always full, so if you plan on staying on for dinner after Happy Hour (which you definitely should), be sure to book a table. Oh, and order the Lobster Roll. Trust us.
