Café of the Week: The Source Mosman
For years The Source has been a cornerstone of the Mosman café scene. Perhaps it's the convenient daily opening time of 6:30am, paired with some of the strongest and richest coffee our fine suburb has to offer; however you frame it, expect no debate when listing The Source among the Mosman elite. This is mainly due to the fact that none of the other Mosman haunts roast their own coffee, with a heritage roaster no less, proudly displayed front and centre of the café.
Sometimes old school is the best school, something that certainly rings true at Source with menus on large black chalk boards, wooden floorboards and scattered tables creating an intimate hub.
The breakfast menu is nicely complemented with freshly made goodness in their always stacked display cabinet, including muffins, croissants and a personal favourite, The Source Steak Sandwich. The Anto (The Source’s resident coffee maestro) Special, stacked with roasted bacon, poached egg, rocket, homemade tomato relish on a milk bun is the perfect sidekick to the perfectly made coffee and is ensured to start your day the right way.
