Is This Sydney's Best French Bistro?

Looking for a mid-range restaurant in the Sydney CBD that offers French classics, good service and a beautiful fit-out? Then Bistro Guillaume it is. Brought to us by world renowned Chef Guillaume Brahimi, you are guaranteed a wonderful dining experience from the moment you walk in the door. Don't be deterred by the restaurants odd location (via the lobby of an office building), once inside the dining room evokes the style of the early 20th-century Parisian bistro, with this dark-wood room, baby blue leather banquettes and a chandelier creating a sophisticated, luxe feel.

The menu is a perfect standard of French bistro classics, starting the oysters and running through all the great dishes from French Onion Soup to possibly Sydney's most immaculate version of a soufflé, twice baked with Roquefort sauce. This is a creamy number with the unmistakable flavour of Roquefort cheese. Then there's the ever-popular Steak Frites with satiny béarnaise sauce and the roasted Barossa Valley chicken with mash. Best not to ask how much butter and cream is added to create the signature mash!

The wine list offers a large range of well priced French and European drops as well as some local options.

Nomad's Insider's Tip: Don't go too hard on the mains, something from the desert trolley is a must - In short, heavenly.
