Nomad’s Happy Hour: Grapefruit Mint Mojito

Ah Spring, how much we missed you. Enjoy the increasingly warm weather with a light and refreshing Grapefruit Mojito which makes the most of seasonal flavours.



  • 2 limes quartered

  • 20 sprigs fresh mint

  • 4 tablespoons lime juice

  • ice, as needed

  • 2 ounces white rum

  • 2 ounces fresh grapefruit juice

  • slices of grapefruit & mint sprigs for garnish

  • 3 tablespoons of simple syrup

  • 6 ounces club soda


1. Add limes and mint to a pitcher. Using a muller, extract juice fro the limes and bruise the mint leaves.

2. Stir in grapefruit juice, simple syrup and club soda.

3. Strain and serve over ice, garnishing with fresh grapefruit and mint.


Nomad’s Mojito with a twist… THE THAI MOJITO!

Pop 2 teaspoons brown sugar, half a lime quartered, 1 lemon grass stalk, peeled and chopped, and a finely shredded 2cm piece of fresh ginger into a shaker and muddle together. Pour 30ml of dark rum into the shaker with ice and shake vigorously. Strain into a ice filled tumbler and top up with soda water. Garnish with a lemon grass stalk.
